A conversation between Joanna Macy, Chris Johnstone and Rob Hopkins

TRANSITION NEWS!

Welcome to Transition London Ontario
We are part of a larger Transition network of people who are coming up with ways to make our communities more resilient and adaptable as we move to a future that has - as yet - undetermined boundaries and vistas. This future will be affected by limits to fossil fuel, by climate variation, and by shifts in economies.  We look for positive ways to use non-fossil-fuel energy wisely, to develop economies that are more locally based and to bring more community into our communities.

This website has information about the Transition Movement, as well as sections for Events, Working group communication, and blog space for people to write what's on their minds.  We hope it is useful and easy to use.

Transition London Ontario members are often participants in other groups in and around London.
We appreciate your additions to the Events section of our website.

A conversation between Joanna Macy, Chris Johnstone and Rob Hopkins

"Climate change, the depletion of oil, economic upheaval and mass extinction together create a planetary emergency of overwhelming proportions. Joanna and Chris's book Active Hope is about how to strengthen our capacity to face this crisis so that we can respond with unexpected resilience and creative power. Drawing on decades of teaching an empowerment approach known as the Work That Reconnects, they guide us through a transformational process informed by mythic journeys, modern psychology, spirituality and holistic science. This process equips us with tools to face the mess we're in and play our role in the collective transition, or Great Turning, to a life sustaining society". Here is the link, enjoy!
